In actor Kim Kang Woo‘s latest YouTube video, his wife of 17 years candidly shared that she would oppose it if their children dreamed of becoming actors.

During the video, Kim Kang Woo cautiously asked his wife, Han Moo Young, whether she felt uncomfortable after recently revealing her face to the public. Han Moo Young coolly replied, “Only one person has recognized me so far, so I’m not uncomfortable.”

Kim Kang Woo: I was worried people might leave malicious comments or say mean things after your face was revealed.
Han Moo Young: Thankfully, people have said very kind things. Jae Ah (the younger of their two sons) was surprised and asked, “How many people would even recognize you?”
But Han Moo Young did have some beef with being married to an actor, as well as being an older sister to actress Han Hye Jin. When asked if there was anything she was particularly mindful of as the wife of an actor, Han Moo Young replied, “Have you ever seen me worry about anything? I don’t care at all.” Yet, when asked if there were any perks to being married to an actor, she firmly said, “None at all.”

Because of my job as an actor, I always feel sorry for my family. Everything revolves around my schedule, and that feels selfish and apologetic. There are times when I spend a lot of time with my family, but there are also times when I neglect them.

And perhaps that is exactly why she doesn’t want her two sons to debut as actors. When asked what they would do if their children showed interest in acting, Han Moo Young firmly responded, “I’m against it. I think it would come with too much stress.” Kim Kang Woo agreed, explaining the difficulties of the profession.
