After news of the lawsuit broke, After School and Orange Caramel member Nana took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the case and her plans moving forward.
Nana Gets Sued By Home Intruder On Charges Of Attempted Murder
In the long and emotional post, Nana noted that it had been a while since she found out that she was getting sued—but she pushed through the distress to keep her promise with her fans.

“I’ve known for quite some time now that I was being sued. I found out about it during a period when I was already struggling mentally and trying to push through a very difficult time emotionally.
As the date of my scheduled meeting with fans (the fan signing event) approached, I spent a lot of time thinking and worrying, trying my best to steady my shaken and weakened heart and mind. I focused as much as I could on the time given to me, doing everything I could to pull myself back together.
I didn’t want to break my promise to my fans because of this situation. I wanted to recover quickly, regain a healthy and stable version of myself, and face you properly. Thankfully, after spending some time alone, I was able to find a certain level of stability again, and I felt that I had become a little stronger.
Just as I hoped, the fan signing event was able to take place, and that moment made me incredibly grateful and happy. I was able to keep my promise, and when I met my fans, I felt that rather than worrying, you were fully enjoying the moment with genuine happiness. I realized that that day became a special one for everyone.”

She explained that the experience, though absurd, has taught her a lot of things, including that she needs to be more cautious in order to protect herself.
“Through this experience, I truly felt many things. Watching myself try so hard to endure and overcome it all, I thought, I really am getting through this in a healthy way.
But at the same time, another thought crossed my mind. Maybe my tendency to see the world and people too kindly, my desire to believe no matter what, could actually be an excessive wish on my part. Then I wondered, ‘Why should that even be considered excessive?’ When those thoughts surfaced, I felt a sense of doubt and emptiness.
I don’t know what will happen in the future. The future is unknowable, and things don’t always unfold as we expect.
After countless thoughts and worries, the conclusion I came to is this: even when I don’t want to have expectations, I end up having them. Even in situations where it feels impossible to trust, I still want to believe. I think that’s simply the kind of person I was born to be.
So instead of denying myself, I’m choosing to acknowledge and accept who I am. However, in order to protect myself from being hurt again, I believe I need to cultivate the habit of looking at everything more carefully and thoughtfully.”

And to the fans who remain worried about the whole situation unfolding in the most unexpected manner, Nana reassured her fans that she will get through the lawsuit unshaken.
“Absurd situations like this are still happening even now, and I’m currently in a position where I have to navigate through them.
I truly hope that no more bad things like this will happen going forward, but if unexpected difficulties do arise, I want to be able to judge what is right and wrong calmly, so that I don’t get hurt as much. I think that’s what I need most at this stage of my life.
I won’t collapse, and I’ll make sure not to be shaken. I’ll take good care of myself, so please don’t worry too much. I’m also sorry if this situation caused unnecessary anxiety, even though it wasn’t my intention.
I’ll make sure this matter is resolved properly, so please trust me and don’t worry.
