Happy Friday, Beanies! While we here are still going through, I hope, final stretch of winter cold, LYN is back to his most common pastime – events hopping^^ There’s still a bit over 10 days till busiest date of February – Lunar New Year – so for now he’s attending other awards and festivals that somehow weren’t done yet back in December lol.
Starting with THE Weibo Night, aka arguably the most hyped one of the bunch, where he sang a cover of Faye Wong’s “The last blossom” (we just can’t escape blossoms at this point). And boy, was that an epic stage! Considering what a messy lamesauce the show was prior (some things I truly wish to forget, like Labubu dance x2 or robodogs), his fiery rock performance must’ve shook everything up there. Live band, his rock voice with all its rasp and sharp edges, black roses motif (brilliant touch)… Been a while since he allowed himself to go this wild on formal event, almost made me worried that stage will ignite as result. Do it again^^

Didn’t go home empty handed either, receiving yet another “Most Popular Actor Of The Year” trophy along with his regular award “deskmate” Bai Lu (their long history of accepting awards together even trended lol). New OST as well (don’t worry, he said he records a lot of them, so dry January doesn’t mean anything) – an ending theme for his bestie’s Gong Jun’s new drama THE TRUTH titled “Glory” (another trendy word in cdramaland). Quite nice song, despite pretty serious and borderline gloomy lyrics – I like melody and what he does with his voice here. It always gets me when he lets it soar)))
