Happy Friday, Beanies! You’d think that with concert out of the way, this week was not as busy for me, LYN’s unpaid promoter and archivist, but nah))) He started filming THE TRUTH S4 (and gave entire fandom a jumpscare by wearing a terrible wig on Day1, which we almost took for a drama haircut, wtf), dropped a new OST, performed at Shanghai Disney park for its 10th Anniversary, did a brand livestream, plus we’re still nowhere near done with previous music and interviews. But everything in its own time.
OST in question is for upcoming LOVE BEYOND THE GRAVE drama, titled “If I could be (as in “remain”) in your eyes”, one of show’s love themes. Ngl, I wasn’t impressed by it in preview, but the full track is actually quite good? Touching instrumentals, beautiful lyrics and he sings it with this kind of optimistic, hopeful yearning that I wish we had more in costume dramas. Also a less “pop” timbre is used, with some rasp and all, which is great with me too. Still unknown how the drama will turn out, but at least it’s clearly winning in OST department from what I heard (Zhou Shen’s intro? track is also very dreamy). Subbed:

On the contrary, Disney stage was not it it for me: I seriously dislike his newest song(“Magic together”) for it, he was dressed so awfully I wanted to set stylist on fire (who approved this horror of pants?!), sound work sucked… Oh well, at least he had fun?
