Reasons to watch: tvN has revived its Wednesday-Thursday timeslot and its new, mid-week drama, Our Universe, will be focusing on loss and love.
Bae In-hyuk and Noh Jung-eui co-star as in-laws with a prickly relationship. They’ve disliked each other ever since Bae’s in-drama brother and Noh’s in-drama sister got married, but they mostly got on with their separate lives.
That all changes in an instant when their siblings die suddenly and leave behind a baby boy named Woo-joo, which means “universe” in Korean. Unwilling to turn their backs on their nephew, they agree to take care of him together and decide to be roommates to make the adjustment smoother. Raising a child definitely isn’t for the faint of heart, but the stress of child-rearing and their new living arrangement leads our protagonists to reexamine their feelings for each other. It’s not smooth sailing for our potential lovebirds yet though, as Park Seo-ham will be doing his best to give us second lead syndrome.
Though the drama begins in tragedy, it isn’t likely to linger for too long, so tune in for a story about finding love in unusual circumstances. And with one of the most adorable babies I’ve ever seen serving as the drama’s namesake, we’re pretty much guaranteed an overload of cuteness each episode.
