Singer Park Gyuri candidly shared her experience of facing a life-or-death situation after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage in her 30s.

Park appeared on SBS’s Good Morning on the 19th alongside broadcaster Jo Young Gu and comedian Kwon Jin Young. The episode focused on “Cerebrovascular Diseases That Cause Sudden Death,” highlighting lifestyle habits, exercises, and nutrients to prevent these conditions.

While discussing “stroke warning signs,” Park revealed, “I almost died from a cerebral hemorrhage in my 30s. Fortunately, I noticed the warning signs and went to the hospital immediately, which saved my life.” She described the moment as feeling “an intense headache like my brain was splitting apart, as if I heard a crack inside my head.” Specialist Lee Kyung Seok explained, “A ‘thunderclap headache,’ a sudden and severe pain, often occurs with cerebral hemorrhage.”

Recalling the event, Park added, “On the way to the hospital, my vision suddenly blurred, I couldn’t see well, and I felt nauseous.” Specialist Im Chae Seon remarked, “In strokes, problems with blood vessels supplying the eyes can cause vision to be obscured as if a curtain has been drawn,” raising public awareness.

Park said, “Since that experience, I’ve been very careful with my cerebrovascular health since my 30s.” She then reviewed simple daily habits for maintaining cerebrovascular health. The first was “standing at the doorstep for 5 minutes before going outside,” a practice to prevent blood vessel constriction caused by sudden temperature changes. Park empathized, “I often rush out in the morning, but from now on, I will make sure to take a 5-minute pause.”

After learning additional methods such as “using dental floss” and “strengthening thigh muscles” to increase blood flow to the brain, the program introduced C3G, a component that produces nitric oxide, known as a blood vessel regulator. Park then shared her efforts to maintain her cerebrovascular health, and attracted attention by revealing that hospital tests show her cerebrovascular condition is healthier and stronger than others her age.
