Should NewJeans fans celebrate?

Min Hee Jin‘s major win against HYBE has been met with some conflicted reactions online.
Min Hee Jin
On February 12, KST, the 31st Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court held a ruling hearing on HYBE’s lawsuit against former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin to confirm the termination of the shareholder agreement and lawsuit filed by Min Hee Jin against HYBE, seeking payment for the stock purchase price related to the exercise of a put option. The court not only dismissed HYBE’s claims but also ruled that Min Hee Jin’s exercise of the put option is legitimate, ordering HYBE to pay her ₩25.5 billion KRW (about $17.6 million USD).
Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin Wins Lawsuit Against HYBE
While this major legal win was celebrated by many, some felt that fans of NewJeans had no reason to participate in the celebrations. They argued that Min Hee Jin was the only one to come out of this legal battle unscathed, while the girl group suffered immensely, only to be left at the mercy of ADOR again.

That hag fucked nj’s career, left nj caged in hybe, won her defamation case that belift put on her, opened her seperate company, is debuting a bg, doesn’t have to pay millions of dollars unlike #her, and STILL tokkis are supporting her
I fear the shamanic rituals worked https://t.co/0Ay94Gpmi9

However, many stepped in to defend Min, pointing out that the issue was with K-Pop idols not being recognized as “employees” under labor laws, which is why NewJeans didn’t receive the same legal protection.
the real difference is Min Heejin was an EMPLOYEE so she was protected by the labor rights law, meanwhile NewJeans technically aren’t considered as ones. This is why we need a new law that protects idol rights in contract dispute. https://t.co/jn6BANqFyv

Some also argued that Min did her best to protect NewJeans, even allegedly offering to give up her put options.
This is the reason why I have a deep hatred for so called bunnies that throw MHJ under the bus in an effort to “protect” the girls.
I am so protective of this woman.
She did nothing wrong. And I mean that. Not in a jokey way. Like I’m a serious. https://t.co/lF28Q8MEFp

I would rather believe in a ‘lying’ CEO woman in protecting her artists, than a fuckass company that runs by misogynistic corrupted men who had been exposed to mistreating their artists a lot of times https://t.co/jCBvsH8qTI
