What is happening behind the scenes?

    Koreaboo

A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) has fans relating to the artist who posted it, and not in a good way.

BamBam debuted in the popular third-generation boy group GOT7 in 2014 under JYP Entertainment. On January 19, 2021, following the expiration of his contract, he left JYP Entertainment and joined Abyss Company. On February 6, 2025, Abyss Company and BamBam mutually agreed to conclude their exclusive contract, and on April 29, 2025, Halo Corporation announced that BamBam had signed with them.

On March 17, BamBam tweeted, “i hate it when i don’t get paid in time,” sparking speculation about his working conditions and relationship with the company.

i hate it when i don’t get paid in time

Yes king, call out those abusive companies & their abusive practices against artists & everyone in the creative industry https://t.co/bYXseXGiNW

    — Atty. Jay B ❄️🐍 (@arsjiaerwang) March 18, 2026

Youngjae filed a lawsuit against the production company of dream high 2 because he didn’t get paid (and I think we haven’t got an update again about that yet) and now there’s bambam who’s not getting paid on time. Sighs… Oh gosh these mf companies. 🙃 https://t.co/Wr34yqCYqT

Many fans responded with humor, empathy, and shared experiences, turning the post into a broader discussion about payment delays, not just in entertainment but across various industries.

Nothing drains motivation faster than chasing your own money
Late pay feels like disrespect not delay

    — Pushpesh (@thepushpesh) March 18, 2026

So this is an international problem with company 😭 https://t.co/sJJejZEqjR

You guys are getting paid?🤧 pic.twitter.com/ocXwjAbWrF

    — RakeshOnX (@ItsRakeshOnX) March 18, 2026

Some fans jokingly offered to pay him instead.

I have this, does that help? pic.twitter.com/fBGiXzXZto

Though BamBam did not specify the situation behind his comment, the post sheds light on a lesser-seen side of the entertainment business. Even globally recognized artists can encounter administrative or contractual delays when it comes to compensation.
