Last year, actor Ian Fang was sentenced to serve prison time after pleading guilty to multiple sexual offenses involving a 15-year-old girl.

The actor, who was 35 at the time of his conviction, was convicted of three counts of sexual penetration of a minor under 16, with three additional similar charges, along with one count each of obstructing justice and stalking, taken into consideration during sentencing. The sexual encounters between Fang and the victim took place in multiple places, including Fang’s home and a hotel where the victim was quarantining with COVID-19.
The victim was a student at a child modeling academy, where Fang served as an acting teacher, and the two formed a connection.
The actor was only sentenced to 40 months in jail, something that left the young girl’s parents heartbroken. Her parents also revealed that the young girl contracted HPV (Human Papillomavirus), a sexually transmitted disease, and she has also been diagnosed with adjustment disorder with depressed mood.

Though the prison sentence was short, Fang will continue to face consequences for his actions.
In February 2026, it was announced that Fang’s permanent residency in Singapore would be revoked and he would be banned from re-entry.
