HYBE boy group ENHYPEN showcased their massive influence after causing a huge surge in the number of blood donors in Korea.

From January 16 to 26, KST, the group ran a campaign with the Korean Red Cross to encourage the public to donate blood. The unique campaign, designed around ENHYPEN’s “vampire” concept, drew significant attention. The major blood donation centers in Seoul, along with the donation buses that hosted the campaign, were decorated with the group’s posters and according to the theme of their new album. Blood and platelet donors also received “Blood Bite” chocolates and unreleased photocards of all members.

The donation buses were touring across venues where ENHYPEN was performing for music shows and showcases, as well as HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan.

Over the ten-day period, the campaign attracted 3,219 blood donors. On the first day, three Seoul donation centers recorded their highest number of donations since opening. The online hotocard giveaway event also drew 4,311 participants.

According to data, the number of first-time donors before the campaign (between January 2-11) was 54, and it increased to 1,031 during the campaign period, approximately a 19-fold spike. Teenagers and people in their 20s made up around 70% of the donors at donation centers and 80% on donation buses. The numbers imply that the campaign was majorly successful to encourage the younger generation to be active participants in blood donation drives and expand the donor pool significantly.

The Korean Red Cross blood management headquarters recently signed a memorandum of undersanding with BELIFT LAB to realize the social value of sharing and announcing tha the blood donation campaign with ENHYPEN has concluded successfully.
