Actor Kim Soo Hyun is reportedly preparing to resume his public activities after securing a legal victory against Garo Sero Institute‘s Kim Se Ui.

Kim Soo Hyun held a press conference where he denied all accusations in tears.

According to News1, Kim Soo Hyun’s first official schedule since the horrifying controversy surrounding the late Kim Sae Ron will be an advertisement shoot for the Philippine fashion brand Bench in July. The actor has served as a brand ambassador for Bench since 2024.

Kim Soo Hyun To Resume Activities Following Legal Victory

The reported schedule would mark Kim Soo Hyun’s first public activity in about a year, after he halted promotions following allegations by Kim Se Ui.

However, news of his return through Bench has sparked strong reactions online. Many netizens directed their frustration toward the brand itself.

what’s with philippines becoming the end destination for these criminal geezers?? first that bully jisoo, seungri and now this pedophile https://t.co/eQib09ZJ91

Across X (formerly Twitter), numerous fans angrily shared their disappointment with Bench’s decision to continue working with Kim Soo Hyun and called for a boycott of the company.

kadiri kayo @benchtm reminder lang someone died because of this fuckass pedo and his agency!!!! grabe the lowest of low!!! buti pa penshopee hindi sumusupport sa mga sexual predators!! EWW BENCH https://t.co/l0gmn0gs15

Several posts accused the brand of helping rehabilitate Kim Soo Hyun’s image and claimed they would stop purchasing Bench products.

interesting how some brands in the philippines always seem ready for image rehab campaigns as long as the name is big enough. yuck, eww, kadiri. boycott @benchtm!! https://t.co/yvvTTotgUI

WTF! Shame on you, @benchtm @BCbench!

You’re enabling a pedophile, and sweeping accusations and ongoing procedures under the rug. Nakakahiya. Even foreigners are horrified with Filipinos for enabling Kim Soo Hyun. https://t.co/p2C8fsMT1D

boycott bench and fuck everyone who will interact with this pedo i will all curse you to hell https://t.co/gNK0BNxvBg

The backlash quickly spread across social media, with netizens tagging the brand directly and demanding that it reconsider its partnership with the actor.
