In 2023, Aaron Yan, member of boy group Fahrenheit and actor, was accused of rape, grooming and filming sex acts by an influencer named Yao Le, who claimed their relationship began when he was 16. He claimed that he was forced on more than one occasion to have sex with Yan.

Ultimately, Yan was found guilty of filming pornography with a minor and sentenced to a seven month suspended sentence and fines in May 2024 after reaching a settlement with the victim. Usually, a sentencing like this would result in an extended hiatus, but this has not been the case.
In addition to being active in other ways, Yan recently returned to music with a new album titled Ikigai.
He currently has activities planned for January, which is less than two years after his conviction.
