Singer, actor, and former KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi has announced his marriage to actress and television personality Minami Tanaka.
On June 29, the couple shared a joint statement through their official channels confirming both their marriage and that they are expecting their first child together. The couple expressed gratitude to fans and promised to continue growing both professionally and personally.
“As the season arrives when the greenery of the trees shines even more brightly, we hope that all of you are doing well. We would like to inform you that we, Kazuya Kamenashi and Minami Tanaka, are getting married.
We would also like to share that we have been blessed with a new life. Though we are still inexperienced, we will continue striving even harder while cherishing what it means to be artists, parents, and human beings.

Kamenashi, 40, debuted as a member of KAT-TUN in 2006 and became one of Japan’s most recognizable idols through both music and acting. Throughout his career, he starred in hit dramas including Gokusen, Nobuta wo Produce, Yokai Ningen Bem, and Boku, Unmei no Hito desu.
He officially departed STARTO ENTERTAINMENT following KAT-TUN’s disbandment in March 2025 and has continued activities as a solo artist and actor.
Meanwhile, Minami Tanaka, 39, first gained fame as a TBS announcer before becoming one of Japan’s most successful freelance television personalities and actresses. She has hosted numerous variety programs and has also expanded into acting, starring in dramas and films in recent years.
The couple’s relationship first became public in January 2024. Later that year, they appeared together in the drama Destiny, further fueling public interest in their romance.
The announcement marks a major new chapter for both stars as they prepare for married life and parenthood together.
