“…a random dork their minute of fame…”

One of the things ARMY have been most excited about, aside from BTS‘s comeback, has been the group’s return to social media.

Of all the members, Jungkook appears to be the most active on the platforms he has accounts on, specifically TikTok, where he posts dance covers. Recently, the idol participated in the “Two” dance challenge, showing off his dance skills.

“Two” is a song created by Canadian musician bbno$, who reacted directly to the video with a comment and subsequent video about Jungkook posting. Other artists that have had similar situations occur have responded similarly, so this was no surprise.

sorry guys i got really excited #bts #kpop

However, subsequent posts from bbno$, including what appears to be a sponsored post of Jungkook’s video reposted by bbno$, were viewed negatively by some fans. Some felt that he was “using” Jungkook without a real interest for his own personal gain and fame.
Sorry but this is disrespectful… sharing JungKook post is ok but using it as an ad without his consent is something else.
Adding to that, he’s doing too much using Jk’s name everyday to promote himself but didn’t share once any JK or BTS’s song to return the favor. pic.twitter.com/1Ge0XAgmOT

This is what happens when we give a random dork their minute of fame for mentioning BTS. This guy’s been a weirdo from the start, and everyone’s been laughing at his jokes. And these people are just here to take advantage of the situation. https://t.co/r3ZYwqlasV

On the other hand, some fans felt bbno$ was entirely within his rights to choose what he sponsored as it is his song, and Jungkook’s post on its own would be bringing him in money anyways. Many felt that bbno$’s response was entirely fine and that there was nothing wrong with people getting excited over Jungkook or any BTS members noticing them.
“Return the favor”…??? 🥴
Jungkook didn’t dance to his song in return for a favor…OMG you guys should stop harassing everyone who comes into contact with Jungkook…
you harass them and call their songs trash and then wonder why they call you toxic fans https://t.co/PJt7EAKohx

Idec about bbnos like that, but y’all clearly don’t know how he moves…he spam posts like this all the time, hopping on trends to promote his music. And why are y’all trying to police how he acts with the popularity of his own song? 😭 https://t.co/emKyDeEpOq

Who gaf? Jungkook is a global pop star. Of course he’ll try to milk it. Some of you are so delusional that you’ve no idea how the world operates outside of twitter. Btw this isn’t harming 🐰. Stop your nitpicking. It’s been days now. https://t.co/zr5Z8tfo6m
