It has been 17 years since the late actress Jang Jin Young passed away. She died on September 1, 2009, when she was 37 years old.
Jang Jin Young was diagnosed with late-stage stomach cancer in September 2008 and continued her fight against the illness.
The following July, she married her husband Kim Young Gyun in the United States, and on August 29 of the same year, they filed their marriage registration. She passed away just three days later, which saddened many.
Born in 1972, Jang Jin Young entered the entertainment industry after winning the Miss Korea Chungnam Jin title in 1993. She began her serious acting career in 1997 with the KBS drama Angel Inside Me.
She later appeared actively in dramas such as Soonpoong Clinic and Lobbyist, as well as films including The Foul King, Over the Rainbow, Scent of Love, and Between Love and Hate.
