Sung Dong-il must save killer Ryeoun in Bloody Flower

Disney+ has dropped its first teaser for upcoming crime-thriller Bloody Flower. Starring Ryeoun (Weak Hero Class 2), Sung Dong-il (Pro Bono), and Geum Sae-rok (Iron Family), a serial killer with the knowledge to cure the incurable is caught between those who must save him and those trying to stop him.
At the center of this story is medical genius Lee Woo-gyeom (Ryeoun), but unlike your typical drama hero, his thirst for science comes with a twisted cost. As a person squirms on a medical table, Woo-gyeom stares at them with cold eyes and barely flinches when armed officers swarm his lab. He is a serial killer who killed seventeen people, but the text on screen suddenly changes from “killed” to “saved.”
While the police search for the victims, Prosecutor Cha Yi-yeon (Geum Sae-rok) asks Woo-gyeom where he hid the other ten bodies to which he laughs. He tells her that he drained their blood from their bodies and takes everything in stride, even mockingly informing the prosecutor that the information is not important. He claims to have been working on a cure for terminal diseases, which means his murders were for the sake of “saving” the world.
For his upcoming trial, Woo-gyeom appoints Attorney Park Han-jun (Sung Dong-il) to represent him, and though most people would turn down such a request, Woo-gyeom knows that Attorney Park will accept. He has a sick daughter who he vows to cure, which makes him the perfect pawn for whatever twisted game Woo-gyeom is planning. With Prosecutor Cha pushing for the death penalty, Woo-gyeom stands between life or death as the courts decide if he is a murderer or savior, but is Attorney Park and the rest of the world ready to hear what this serial killer has in store for them?
Based on the novel of the same name, Disney+’s Bloody Flower is slated for eight episodes and premieres February 4.
