BTS is officially back with a new album, a new era…and new wardrobe problems?

On March 21 at 8 p.m., BTS took the stage at Gwanghwamun Square for BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG. The special event celebrated the release of their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, which dropped the day prior on March 20. According to HYBE, the performance drew an estimated crowd of around 104,000 spectators.

While there were many memorable moments, some fans zeroed in on one that features the “God of Destruction,” RM, who has a reputation for breaking things by accident. RM, who performed with an injury that limited his movement…

However, it seems that the God of Destruction’s “honey thighs” aren’t to blame for the gaping hole in his pants…this time. The pants were designed to have rips in them.

Songzio, Korean designer Jay Songzio‘s label, designed BTS’s collection for the comeback show. This collection, called “Lyrical Armor,” was inspired by Joseon-era armor and reimagined with edgy, modern aesthetics. In an interview with WWD, Jay revealed that each member’s outfit matched a certain role or archetype within the ARIRANG story.

For the individual members within this general story, each member has their own strong image. RM, who has this very charismatic presence as the leader, became in our story the hero.
