Amid the issues, THE BOYZ announced they would be continuing activities under a new label with nine members, without mentioning Haknyeon and New. While Haknyeon was removed from the group, New‘s status had been less certain as he had continued with the company while the other members had tried to nullify the contract.

With Haknyeon and New not being mentioned, netizens shared their heartbreak at the possible future of the group, but without 11 members. Many had hoped that Haknyeon would be able to rejoin the group under the new company, and that the worries surrounding New would have been solved.
