They decided to do so to keep their promise to fans.

THE BOYZ is currently facing their biggest crisis since debuting nine years ago. What began with a notice of exclusive contract termination has escalated into a full-on conflict with their agency, One Hundred Label, even leading to the group pushing ahead with a concert using their own money, pushing the situation to extremes.

With an anticipated legal dispute looming, concerns are growing over the group’s future activities and how this situation will ultimately be resolved. THE BOYZ recently notified their agency of contract termination. Nine members excluding New, claimed through legal representatives that the contracts had already been lawfully terminated due to “serious breaches of contract and breakdown of trust.”

“No settlement payments have been made since Q2 2025, and requests to review settlement data were denied without valid reason. The agency received advance payments worth hundreds of billions of won but failed to distribute settlement payments to the artists, without providing a convincing explanation. Basic support necessary for activities, such as practice rooms and vehicles, was not properly provided, and even staff wages were delayed for months. Psychological pressure and distress continued, ultimately leading to an irreparable breakdown in the relationship.”

Meanwhile, One Hundred Label immediately refuted these claims. Amid the sharp conflict between both sides, THE BOYZ decided to proceed with their scheduled concert as planned.

The group had been set to hold their new concert INTER-ZECTION for three days from April 24 to 26 at KSPO DOME in Seoul. However, after notifying their agency of contract termination ahead of the concert, concerns arose over whether the event could proceed.

Despite this, THE BOYZ stated, “We decided to go ahead with the concert to keep our promise to fans,” adding that they would responsibly fulfill all pre-confirmed schedules.

However, the situation appears far from easy. According to some reports, members are personally covering expenses such as practice room rentals and staff wages. There are also claims that, due to a lack of vehicle support, some members are using their own cars for transportation.

In response, the agency reiterated that support was still being provided and that the members refused it. However, it has been partially confirmed that the artists are directly covering certain costs during concert preparations, raising concerns among fans.

THE BOYZ’s decision to hold a “self-funded concert” to keep their promise to fans has drawn strong support from their fandom.
