Recently, an online community post garnered much attention online, with almost 80,000 views, regarding the types of shoes being worn at the standing section for K-Pop concerts.

In the photos, fans were wearing huge platforms that looked dangerous while standing.

The OP also found posts of people renting these 20 cm platform shoes for concerts! The post stated that rentals for March 7-8 were closed, which were the same dates as RIIZE‘s concert.

Netizens agreed that these caused a safety hazard and should be banned from concerts.

    • “I hate standing shows…I can’t see anything.”
    • “Imagine falling while wearing those…your feet will be destroyed.”
    • “If I wear 10 cm platform shoes at 158 cm tall, someone will come wearing 20 cm platforms at 170 cm tall…”
    • “Can’t we all just wear normal sneakers?”
    • “Can we please put restrictions on this? I’m 163 cm, and if everyone wears those, I can’t see anything, so I don’t go to the ground floor anymore.”
    • “You won’t be able to get up yourself if you fall in those.”
    • “Even if I wear them, I won’t be able to see because of the tall people.”
    • “What kind of crazy behavior is that?”
