According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticket sales data on February 24, director Jang Hang Jun’s film, The King’s Warden, has reached a cumulative audience of over six million views in just 20 days since its release.
Holding the top spot at the box office for 11 consecutive days, it has become the year’s highest-grossing film so far.
With the movie gaining traction, it is highly likely to become a 10-million-viewer film.
However, as the movie nears the milestone, the director’s remarks on what he will do if it reaches 10 million have begun resurfacing online.
