A real-life royal rejected offers to become a K-Pop trainee in South Korea.

14-year-old Jenna Norodom is the second daughter of Princess Norodom Bophary and the great-granddaughter of King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia, Norodom Sihamoni. She made headlines after becoming a social media sensation in 2023 at just 11 years old.

Jenna began working in the entertainment industry as an actor and singer at age six. She’s an avid fan of K-Pop groups like BTS and BLACKPINK, and has posted dance covers of K-Pop songs on her YouTube channel.

In 2024, in a featured segment on YTN, it was reported that the CEO of a K-Pop entertainment agency had shown interest in helping the young royal to become a star in Korea.

Jenna’s management team later stated in a now-deleted post that Jenna does not and will not ever become a K-Pop idol trainee in Korea. Instead of becoming a trainee, it was reported that Jenna would be focusing on her studies along with releasing her first Mandarin album.

Jenna has not, does not, and will not become a K-pop trainee in South Korea.

She debuted on January 13, 2021 under K’ve Entertainment, an agency based in Cambodia.
