Hyeri shared behind-the-scenes stories of TWS’s Overdrive challenge, which became a hot topic.
On the 13th, TWS members Dohoon and Shinyu appeared as guests on Hyeri’s YouTube channel.
The two immediately bowed deeply and said, “We’d like to greet our original master of cute tantrums, senior Hyeri,” which brought laughter. Surprised by the unexpected New Year’s bow, Hyeri smiled awkwardly, saying, “It’s the first time I’ve received a New Year’s bow.”
Previously, Hyeri gained attention by performing TWS’s “Overdrive” challenge at the AAA 2025 awards ceremony. Dohoon expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thanks to you, senior, the song did even better. I’m truly grateful.” Shinyu also shared his feelings, saying, “When we first received the interview sheet, we thought, ‘Hyeri’s going to do this? We’re so thankful. I hope she saves it.’”
However, Hyeri herself revealed she had no idea about the situation, attracting attention. When she asked, “Did the interview sheet say who was doing it?” Dohoon replied, “Only senior Hyeri was decided, and the rest were random.”
Hyeri expressed surprise, saying, “Why didn’t I hear anything? I had no clue at all.” She recalled, “At the awards ceremony that day, I kept moving seats. They guided me to a spot with good camera angles, so I wondered, ‘Are they going to give me an award?’ and got my hopes up. But suddenly, they made me do the challenge, which really surprised me.”
Hyeri added, “I was really flustered because I was worried I might mess up since it was sudden. Still, I’m thankful people liked it.” Dohoon responded, “It was truly the best. We should all come together and bow deeply to you,” expressing his thanks once more.
Hyeri joked, “You must not forget this for the rest of your lives.” Dohoon warmly answered, “If we can be of help, we’ll do anything.”
TWS’s song “Overdrive” stirred an challenge craze on various year-end stages and received intense love.
