The club Burning Sun became embroiled in controversy during a sex scandal in 2019.
In 2021, news broke that “Actor K” had been accused by his ex-girlfriend of abandoning her during her pregnancy. She also claimed that the actor threatened her with a lawsuit when she asked him to delete her nude photos.
At the time of the allegations, actor Go Se Won stepped forward to identify himself as “Actor K” and released a statement through his agency, Hunus Entertainment.

The actor has been absent from K-Drama series, films, and musical theatre productions for the last two years. It is unclear if Go Se Won is permanently retiring from acting or taking a break, but if he does return, he might be doing so under a new agency. He briefly made an appearance in the public eye in 2025 through his personal Instagram, but has not posted since June 2025.
