Former Wanna One Park Jihoon’s agency is receiving praise from fans after implementing what many are calling a smart solution to ticket scalping for his upcoming fan meeting. According to the official announcement, fanclub presale tickets will only be available to fans who purchased membership before the fan meeting was announced.
This means that anyone who joined the fanclub after the announcement date will not be eligible to participate in the presale.
Pre-sales notification.
“Only those who have registered for membership before March 16, 2pm, can participate.”
Fans quickly realized the strategy behind the rule. Scalpers often purchase fanclub memberships after an event is announced so they can access presale tickets and later resell them at inflated prices. By limiting presale access only to existing members before the announcement, the agency effectively blocked many potential scalpers. With Park Jihoon’s sudden spark in popularity after his movie The King’s Warden took off, many were afraid of scalpers.
Korean fans widely praised the move online, with many saying the company handled the situation cleverly.

Wow this is so smart of them. Since many scalpers register for memberships and do ticketing only to resell them at a higher price, they’re not letting people who register even from the point of this sales notice onwards buy during pre-sales. They’re so good at their job!

Others are excited to see scalpers panic.

Many fans hope more agencies will adopt similar systems to protect real fans from ticket resellers in the future.
