Singer and actress Ham So Won is currently recovering after suffering a pelvic fracture in a recent car accident. According to reports on July 1, the accident occurred while Ham was attempting to park her vehicle on a downhill road.
While engaging the parking brake, the vehicle reportedly collided with a utility pole. As a result of the crash, Ham was diagnosed with a fractured pelvis. She subsequently underwent surgery at a hospital in Seoul and is currently hospitalized as she focuses on her recovery.
Neither Ham nor her representatives have shared additional details regarding her condition, but reports indicate that she is concentrating on treatment and rehabilitation following the operation.
Ham So Won first entered the entertainment industry after being crowned Miss Korea Pacific in 1997. She later built a career as both an actress and singer, gaining widespread recognition through the hit film Sex Is Zero before releasing her single “So Won No. 1” in 2003.
In addition to acting and music, she also became known for her appearances on variety shows and for her successful activities in China. Ham married Chinese businessman Jin Hua, who is 18 years younger than her, in 2018. The couple welcomed a daughter together before announcing their divorce in 2022.
Despite the separation, they have continued to co-parent their daughter, occasionally fueling speculation about a possible reconciliation.
