Actress Lim Ji Yeon has revealed that she recently removed a tattoo she had been living with for years. The actress appeared on tvN‘s You Quiz on the Block, where she opened up about an unexpected beauty regret from her younger days.
During the episode, Lim Ji Yeon surprised viewers by revealing that she had finally gotten rid of her eyeliner tattoo. She explained that she got the procedure done
when she was around 20 years old, during the height of the semi-permanent makeup trend.
“I removed my eyeliner. Semi-permanent makeup was really popular back then. I got an eyeliner tattoo, but I don’t know if it wasn’t actually semi-permanent because it never disappeared.
The actress revealed that she had wanted to remove it for years but kept putting it off due to the recovery process.
“It swells up a lot when you remove it, so I couldn’t do it until now.”
As her acting career progressed, the tattoo eventually became more of a burden than a convenience. According to Lim Ji Yeon, makeup artists constantly had to work around the tattoo whenever she took on different roles.
“For every character, they had to try to cover up the eyeliner. It became inconvenient, so I finally removed it.”
This isn’t the first time Lim Ji Yeon has discussed the tattoo. She previously revealed on a YouTube show that she had been considering having it removed, but fans were surprised to learn she had finally gone through with it.
