A Korean actress has revealed that her premarital pregnancy with her actor husband was “meticulously planned.”
On August 18th, a video titled “The First-Ever Celebrity Couple Talk Show in Broadcasting History” was uploaded on Ko So Young‘s YouTube channel.
In the video, Ko So Young said, “I struggled a lot over who to have as the first guest. I felt I couldn’t move on to the next episode without inviting this person. The production team also pressured me.”
She then introduced her husband Jang Dong Gun as “the person who supported me most passionately from the closest place when I first started YouTube.”
The two then recalled their wedding days.
Jang Dong Gun said, “Marriage was natural. My mother-in-law has a great personality, and my father-in-law likes light drinking, so we got along well.”
When the production team asked about the “premarital pregnancy,” Ko So Young revealed, “It was meticulously planned. That year (2010) was the Year of the Tiger and a baby boom year. I definitely wanted to have a child in my 30s rather than in my 40s. I also felt the pressure of ‘Is it even possible to get married at 39?’”
She added with a laugh, “We didn’t have a honeymoon. I barely even remember going on dates.“
