Recently, photos surfaced of the alleged girlfriend attending a DAY6 fan event, and fans found it hard to attend because they struggled to get a reservation. The post accused Dowoon of inviting his girlfriend to the event.
As it was a fan event, many placed the blame on Dowoon and said it was something fans would not like to see, almost flaunting the relationship. Yet, some also hit back at the criticism, claiming that Dowoon might not have sent the invitation and she had bought it herself.

If she booked the reservation herself and went on her own, then I don’t see a problem with it. But if it was a fan event and she attended because she was invited, taking a spot that could have gone to a fan, then I’d find that a bit off-putting. It’s not that the girlfriend is the problem. What I’d have an issue with is the male idol who invited her there.
