A viral “blind item” about an on-screen K-Drama couple’s alleged dating rumor has stirred up major reactions online.
Recently, an anonymous post garnered significant attention on Reddit, making claims that the lead actors of a 2024 tvN romance drama are actually a couple in real life.
The OP (original poster) didn’t identify the actors, but gave enough clues for ardent fans to decode the mystery. The post claimed that the actress, “B,” is a former idol. The actor “A” was supposedly in a global project before the tvN show, and was rumored to date one of his former costars. Though “B” has never been in a public relationship, she was rumored to be dating her first drama co-star.
The couple was allegedly already dating before the drama started airing, and took several vacations together last year. The post claimed that the two are expected to announce their relationship soon, and might even tie the knot by next year. The two actors are supposedly currently shooting separate dramas.

Most fans are left convinced that the post is referring to actors Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won, who starred in the 2024 tvN romance drama, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, as leads. Since Jung was formerly a member of the girl group Chakra, and Wi Ha Joon was a part of the global sensation Squid Game, fans feel that they fit the descriptions in the blind item to a T.

Needless to say, blind items are, at best, unverified rumors, and hence, none of these speculations can be vouched for. Regardless, fans are excited and ready to support the couple, in case it turns out to be true.
