TWICE’s Jihyo is facing fresh speculation that she is leaving JYP Entertainment after her recent appearance at THE WHOO‘s Secret Skin event in Seoul.

Jihyo dazzled fans with her look at the event on August 27, but that wasn’t the only thing that caught attention. Behind the scenes, a fansite spotted Jihyo at the event with a female manager well known to TWICE fans. Affectionately referred to as Jihyo and Jeongyeon’s “running buddy,” the manager has long been presumed to be close with Jihyo.

However, that same manager is believed to have already left JYP Entertainment. Fans have pointed to an Instagram Story reportedly shared by another staff member from the agency back in July, which stated, “For about 8 years, you worked really hard. We’ll miss seeing you on the 4th floor.”

With the manager seemingly still working alongside Jihyo now, fans are connecting the dots and speculating that Jihyo has also quietly departed the agency — which lines up with multiple other signs spotted over the past few weeks.

Jihyo was first reported to be considering an exit back on July 14, when JoyNews24 claimed she was leaning toward leaving JYP Entertainment to start her own one-person agency after meeting with several industry officials. Then, last week, a fansite quoted Jihyo as telling them, “I’d like to spread the word, but…” which many believe may refer to upcoming news of her departure.

Others have also pointed out that TWICE’s official social media accounts have not posted about Jihyo’s individual activities recently, despite sharing other members’ schedules.

Neither Jihyo nor JYP Entertainment has issued an official statement addressing her contract status, but two members have already officially left the company. Jeongyeon confirmed her departure on August 10, followed by Chaeyoung just days later.
