Concrete Dreams: (3-4) The twists really slam! It’s cat and mouse, but there are so many cats. I had to mute AND cover the screen in ep. 4 – psycho lady is so scary. The music is excellent at keeping the tension high (I’m curious to find out if the composer is Dalpalan? Or Gaemi?). If this is just week two, I guess my hope for the finale is that the ML will still be alive (maybe we’ll get a faked death, a la Romeo and Juliet, like they watched on TV??? That has to be foreshadowing, right?).
Siren’s Kiss: (6-8) EEEK I was RIGHT!!! Face swap face swap!!! KJH was immediately creepy and I’m fully on board with him being a bad guy, but he’s already dead?? That was fast lol. Also, the ML is being sold a romance, but I still think it’s more like entrapment. (Full theories below 👇). Still love the music.

The Matchmakers: this is my 2005 Pride and Prejudice of dramas. My third watch, and I love it just as much every time. There are so many things I love, including the ending, which isn’t mere deus ex machina, but is the kind gift of a wise and benevolent king, and that brings the themes full circle, book-ending the FL’s solution for the would-be Romeo and Juliet couple at the beginning of the drama. It is my most heart-soothing drama. It’s so beautiful, both thematically and visually, that it’s like watching art. ❤️
Arang and the Magistrate: as if I weren’t already watching a bunch of other things, I rewatched Arang, and it was as good as I remember. This is still my top fantasy drama, because the plot hangs together so BEAUTIFULLY all the way through… the lore is complex, but not in a hand-waving way, and the rules are followed to the end, but I still get an ending I love. The romance takes a while to build, but it’s SO good when it takes off… the way he says “Arang” with such tenderness once he falls completely; eegad. And it’s really beautifully done with the Reapers’ CGI – it still looks. What a great drama!
🔮 Theories:
●Creepy CEO is really the FL’s “dead” ex!!! I’m thrilled I was right on this and on the FACE SWAP (yassss!). This also explains why he has paintings that trigger her traumas. I’m going to go out on a limb and say the most obvious solution is the right one here – she IS responsible for his death, but (A) I bet the cop is right and she has an accomplish that will cast doubt on the…
