Wie Ha-joon is lured by the Siren’s Kiss of Park Min-young

The deadly call of tvN’s Siren’s Kiss (previously Siren) is whispering its song in the ear of Wie Ha-joon (Squid Game 3), beckoning him to the shadowy Park Min-young (Confidence Queen) in the first video teaser and script reading stills.
Based on the Japanese mystery-thriller and romance called Ice World from 1999, the Korean remake refers to the Sirens from Greek mythology with its title, beautiful but destructive sea creatures who were half-bird and half-woman in appearance. In this story, Park Min-young plays art auctioneer Han Seol-ah. And our seemingly perfect heroine is currently suspected of insurance fraud and – more scarily – orchestrating death. Because, you see, all the men who once claimed to love Seol-ah have each inevitably ended up killed.
Presumably the payouts then went into Seol-ah’s pockets and this brings us to Wie Ha-joon in the role of insurance fraud investigator Cha Woo-seok. Tasked with looking into this Seol-ah’s case, Woo-seok’s job is to discover the truth behind her romantic partners’ deaths. But despite the circumstances, the promos suggest that Woo-seok will also be lured by Seol-ah’s charms, closing the short teaser on her question to our hero, asking what he thinks of her now.
Although the full lineup has not been officially announced, Kim Jung-hyun (A Hundred Memories) has been previously reported to be co-starring in the series. And we’ll likely be seeing Lee Elijah (Bait), Han Joon-woo (Heroes Next Door), and Gong Sung-ha (Love Me) in the supporting cast as well.
Coming to our screens on March 2, tvN’s Siren’s Kiss will be broadcasting in the Monday-Tuesday slot following Spring Fever. Production for the melodrama has PD Kim Chul-kyu (Mother and Mom, Flower of Evil) directing alongside scripts by Lee Young.
