An actor, now in his 10th year, revealed that he worked as a manager for four years before quitting, but he has no regrets.

On September 27, the YouTube channel Bin Paper uploaded a video titled “A Day in the Life of a 30-Something Actor, Former Manager of Yoo In Na, Working Part-Time as a Chauffeur for a Multi-Billionaire CEO While Chasing His Dreams.” The video featured Song Hyeon Seo, who was formerly Yoo In Na’s manager.

Song Hyeon Seo introduced himself by saying, “I started acting in 2015, so this is my 10th year.” He mentioned that he frequently sends out his profile. Song explained, “I update it online every day, and offline, I visit whenever I have time to distribute it. Sometimes I also entrust agencies with it.”

Song said, “I was in a situation where I absolutely had to work part-time jobs, so I’ve done many different kinds. For the past five to six months, I’ve been working as a chauffeur. The work involves helping young asset owners in their 40s—people with assets worth billions. I assist these wealthy clients directly.”

Song moved to Seoul in 2015. He shared, “I took a leave of absence after my sophomore year of college and came to Seoul. I asked my mom for two years, thinking I’d make it in that time. But it took quite a while. I said I wouldn’t ask for financial support, but it wasn’t easy.”

Song worked as a manager at YG Entertainment for seven years. He recalled, “I wondered what it would be like to be an actor’s manager, so I looked into JYP, YG, and SM. I applied to YG and got a rejection email the next day. But a week later, I got a call saying I passed a subsequent round and was interviewed. The director who interviewed me asked which artist I wanted to manage. After some thought, I said actor Jang Ki Yong.”

He continued, “I ended up managing actor Cha Seung Won. Starting with Seung Won, I also managed Yoo In Na and Son Na Eun. I worked with these three actors as their manager. I worked with Yoo In Na the longest, about four years, so that experience stands out the most.”

Song added, “Just like declaring war before beginning a battle, I wanted to boldly declare my decision to resign and pursue acting. I felt that by putting all my cards on the line, I could fully focus on this work. I have never once regretted it. Honestly, I’ve never thought I should have quit sooner. It felt like the right time.”
