Some real-life moments look like they’re straight out of an anime, and Yuji Nishida‘s apology is one of them.

    Nishida Yuji

Things got a little out of hand during a recent volleyball all-star event in Kobe, Japan. While serving, 26-year-old volleyball player Yuji Nishida sent a ball soaring off the court and into the crowd. According to one announcer, the ball hit a female “helper” off to the side. Nishida immediately apologized like anyone would…

After doing what might be the first sliding-bow in sports history, Nishida got onto his knees and continued to bow apologetically to the woman, who wasn’t injured.

Nishida and the other players couldn’t stop laughing, and now people all over the world are laughing with them.
