A fourth-gen girl group member’s recent stage accident has stirred up heated backlash from fans online.
During the group’s most recent concert, ITZY member Yeji was seen suffering a bad fall while she was going off the stage between performances. Though the lights on the stage were turned off, some audience members’ cameras caught the incident, sparking major concerns about the lack of safety.
Why did yeji get knocked away…? It looked like she fell really hard… 😭https://t.co/Ny6a0vHBUR pic.twitter.com/iwWLpZlmEj

Yeji fell down when she was going off the stage. I hope she is okay. They should provide them with lighting.🙄https://t.co/9fZ2KMzTis pic.twitter.com/9FbrbhpNG3

However, the issue exploded once another angle of the incident showed that Yeji had actually collided with a staff member and had effectively gotten knocked away.
WTF!!!How could the staff make such a mistake…??? They literally knocked yeji aside… pic.twitter.com/qOYbiiIO24

Though the idol got up immediately with the help of other staff members, fans noted that during the later parts of the concert, she appeared to be in pain. Given that Yeji is still recovering from back pain, fans were even more worried about her health.
MY GOD IS YEJI LEANING ON YUNA BECAUSE SHE IS IN PAIN ?????? 😭🥲 I NEED ANOTHER ANGLE .. pic.twitter.com/8fqSQnNKu1

While fans showed understanding that mistakes could happen, many were angry that the staff member didn’t immediately help Yeji get up, and neither showed any signs of apologizing.
1. This obviously wasn’t intentional, hello?? you’ve never bumped into someone running?
2. He is a fucking idiot for not immediately helping her up and apologizing. Korean men lack basic decency, my goodness

Accidents happen, but a quick apology and helping her up should’ve been the bare minimum. Hope Yeji is okay.

what bothers me more than the bump itself is the lack of immediate response, no “are you okay”, no protocol check, that’s a venue training issue not just one person’s mistake

body slammed like that, guy didn’t even help her up, looks like she hits her head too, wtf.

Yeji later took to a fan communication platform to inform fans that she was okay, and apologized to fans for causing worry.

She also clarified that it was just a mistake on both her and the staff member’s part, and reassured fans that she wouldn’t push herself too far if her health didn’t cooperate for the next day’s performance.
idc who’s fault is it, baby, that man didn’t help you up so he need to be fired lowk….. pic.twitter.com/OC101L4jbD

Despite her reassurance, fans cannot help but be concerned since the group is currently on their Tunnel Vision world tour, and has performances scheduled till October 2026.
