Influencer Sung Hae Eun, who rose to fame through Transit Love 2, has revealed the diet methods that helped her lose a significant amount of weight. On March 4, a video titled “Sung Hae Eun’s Diet Secret That Took Me From 70kg → 50kg!” was uploaded to her YouTube channel Happy Hae Eun.
In the video, she explained that many viewers had been asking about her body management routine.
“A lot of people asked me how I manage my body. Rather than saying ‘this is how I dieted,’ I wanted to show how I live through exercise.”
She then shocked viewers by revealing an unexpected part of her past. Hae Eun shared that during her time working as a flight attendant, she once weighed over 70 kg (154 lbs) at her height of 170 cm (5 ft 7 in). She even revealed photos from that time.
According to Hae Eun, she previously lost weight down to 50 kg (110 lbs) by drastically restricting food while preparing for modeling part-time jobs. However, after becoming a flight attendant, things changed.
“After I passed the flight attendant exam, I ate a lot of in-flight meals. I would eat several trays and also a lot of local food during layovers. I gained weight really quickly.”
She revealed that her uniform size kept increasing until she eventually realized she only had one larger size left to move up to.
“That’s when it really hit me. From that moment, I started dieting seriously.”
Hae Eun emphasized that the two most important factors in her transformation were diet and finding exercise that fits your body. She also revealed three diet principles she currently follows. The first, eating in the order of fiber, protein, and then carbohydrates. The second, maintaining balanced nutrients (carbs, protein, and fat) and prioritize complex carbohydrates. Lastly she eats clean meals in the morning on an empty stomach and avoid late-night meals. She explained that because she often eats well when dining out, she keeps strict control over her meals at home to maintain balance.
