In the February 23, 2026 (KST) episode of the beloved “drinking show,” Lee Jae Ryong appeared as a guest alongside his closest actor friends Ahn Jae Wook, Yoon Da Hoon, and Sung Ji Roo. However, the news of his appearance was not met with positive reactions. Lee Jae Ryong already had a history of drunk driving and alcohol-related accidents, and fellow guest Ahn Jae Wook also has a past DUI record.
Actor’s Apparent Drinking Problem Reignites Debate Over His 2 DUI Records
During the episode, Lee Jae Ryong remarked, “I’ve been really into tequila lately,” while Ahn Jae Wook commented on his tolerance for alcohol, saying, “I’ve never beaten Jae Ryong in drinking, and I’ve never even seen him drunk.”
However, less than two weeks after the episode was released, Lee Jae Ryong was involved in another drunk driving incident, fueling calls for Zzanbro to be canceled altogether.
At around 2 AM on March 7, Lee Jae Ryong allegedly drove while intoxicated in Gangnam District, where he crashed into a center divider before fleeing the scene. After leaving the scene, the actor reportedly returned home, parked his car, and went to a friend’s house, where he was later apprehended by police. His blood alcohol concentration was reported to be at a level that warrants a license suspension.

Following the news, calls for the episode featuring Lee to be deleted quickly spread. As of the afternoon of March 7, the Zzanbro episode he appeared in has been set to private. However, the show’s team has not released an official statement, leading to a wave of protest comments under the channel’s contents.

- They should get rid of YouTube shows like this that encourage excessive drinking. Even the host who invites people with criminal records is a criminal himself.
- Damn, you cut ties immediately LOL.
- Did they delete the episode with the drunk driving guests? Ahn Jae Wook and Lee Jae Ryong.
- Drinking shows need to disappear.
- I came here after seeing the drunk driving news, and they already took the video down LOL.
- They deleted the video with the drunk drivers.
- Looks like this show might be finished too. They were really good at “laundering” criminals’ images, but who knew Lee Jae Ryong would cause a drunk driving accident and run away…
- The real problem is the people who like and subscribe to YouTube channels like this.
Attention is now focused on how the Zzanbro team will respond to the controversy—and whether the show will continue producing new episodes moving forward.
