HYBE’s Official Position On KATSEYE Manon’s Return Gets Retracted

The mystery around Manon’s return to KATSEYE just got more complicated.

    Manon | @meretmanon/Instagram

While the singer is on an indefinite hiatus from group activities, several speculations about her departure from the group and its possible reasons have triggered massive anxiety among fans. So, when Manon removed KATSEYE’s name from her Instagram bio, most were convinced that it was her way of confirming her departure.

However, Manon followed it up with an unexpected message to fans, revealing that she was having “positive conversations” with her label. What made matters more confusing was HYBE’s statement to the media about the situation. On April 3, KST, The Korea Herald reported that HYBE had refused to clarify Manon’s position but had confirmed she would be performing with the rest of the group at Coachella on April 11.

HYBE Clarifies Official Position Regarding KATSEYE’s Manon, Fans Baffled

But this statement has now been retracted, leaving fans questioning the situation yet again. On April 4, KST, just a day after publishing the report, The Korea Herald updated the article stating that Manon’s participation in the Coachella performance “remains unclear.”

This new update has riled up fans even further, strengthening the suspicion that Manon’s name is being used to create noise for KATSEYE’s Coachella appearance.

They’re using Manon’s name for clout, just like they did to get people to tune into katseye. Adding in the botted ass tweets piling on Manon coming out of nowhere lol. They will perish. https://t.co/p8LBumK3x9

Men just stop wasting people time for real and tell us is she is still on the group or not, they need to be clear and make a official statement https://t.co/F4i5kfnOGs pic.twitter.com/RN3I56CaMR

They’re using her to promote the Coachella performance and the new comeback.

I, repeat, Hybe is using its only black artist to promote her own group’s comeback while her career sits in limbo and at the expense of her and her member’s mental health. https://t.co/AbzF5Iib3E
