Japanese YouTuber Zepa has suddenly passed away at the age of 26.
On the 6th, Zepa’s official account shared the news, saying, “We apologize for delivering such sudden sad news” and “Zepa has suddenly passed away.”
It added, “The funeral was held quietly with only family members present” and “We sincerely thank everyone for the deep kindness shown to the deceased during their lifetime.”
However, the exact cause of death has not been disclosed.
Notably, Zepa had posted on X (formerly Twitter) shortly before passing, adding to the shock of the sudden news.
On the 1st, Zepa wrote, “The average life expectancy for alcohol dependence is about 50 years. Half of that time is already gone.”

Zepa also uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel on the 25th of last month.
Born in 1999, Zepa was a Japanese YouTuber with around 620,000 subscribers. Her main content focused on drinking live streams and interacting with fans.
After temporarily halting YouTube activities for personal reasons, Zepa made a comeback in 2024. In March, a new YouTube channel was launched, but shortly after announcing a fresh start, the obituary news brought about sadness.
