The latest episode of Yoo Jae Suk‘s YouTube show Pinggyego starred IU and Byeon Woo Seok, the leads of MBC‘s new K-Drama, Perfect Crown. While the episode itself was filled with entertaining moments, it was the numerous comments under the video that generated online buzz.

One commenter—who identified himself as a hoobae soldier who served under the actor in the military—shared in the comments, “At the time, I was a private first class, and he was a sergeant.”
On the day he was discharged, I was having a hard time in the second-floor shower room, and even though we weren’t in the same platoon, he said something to me that I still remember to this day. He told me, ‘Don’t overthink things right now. I know you’re doing your best, so things will get better soon. Stay strong. I’m heading out now.’ Those words gave me strength throughout my entire military service.

Back then, he hadn’t become famous yet, and I was about to quit my job as a manager and start a different one. After finishing a schedule, we had coffee at a café, and he told me, ‘I hope you succeed, too. Let’s both do well and meet again someday.’ He was such a kind actor, and I’m so happy to see him succeed now.
