- KBS has announced that Sleeping Doctor has entered production, confirming casting for our titular heroine Jin Ki-joo (Undercover High School) who suffers from narcoleptic symptoms and hires fellow doctor Kim Sung-chul (Hellbound 2) to help run her private clinic. Directed by PD Lee Hyun-kyung (Nothing Uncovered) alongside writing by Baek Eun-kyung (Once Upon a Small Town), the medical rom-com is currently in filming. [Ilgan Sports, KBS]
- Shin Hye-sun (Filing for Love) is reportedly reviewing an offer for a new crime-mystery called Dash, potentially taking a turn as a prosecutor on the hunt for truth. And if Shin accepts, she’ll be torn between love and justice when her husband unexpectedly becomes a murder suspect. With PD Kim Ji-yeon (The Haunted Palace) attached to direct, the series is in discussions to broadcast on SBS sometime next year in the Wednesday-Thursday slot. [Xports News]
- On Disney+, preparations continue for Moving 2, which is said to have rookie actor Won Kyu-bin (Bitch x Rich 2) newly joining the lineup in the role of Kim Bong-seok. In Season 1, the character was played by Lee Jung-ha (Heroes Next Door), who is reported to have bowed out due to the start of his army service earlier this year. Expected to release in 2027, the upcoming second season has PD Kim Sung-hoon (Kingdom) at the helm with scripts penned once again by the original webtoonist Kangfull (Light Shop). - MBN+ is readying for an Azure Spring in this slice-of-life series, pairing Red Velvet’s Yeri (Bitch x Rich 2) and Kang Sang-joon (Cashero) to become our story’s divers in the newest posters as well as the first video teaser. Coming to our screens on May 11 next month, the webtoon-adaptation will have a runtime of 6 episodes, with production led by PD Jung Hun-soo and writer Ha Jin. [Sports Donga, Xports News]
- In the meantime, the countdown is ticking for Netflix’s If Wishes Could Kill and a big bundle of stills have dropped ahead of this week’s premiere on April 24. Directed by PD Park Yoon-seo (Moving) with Park Joong-sub (Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman) writing, the horror stars Jeon So-young (Honour), Kang Mina (Twelve), and Baek Sun-ho (Dear X), in addition to Hyun Woo-seok (Cheer Up), Lee Hyo-je (Taxi Driver 3), Jeon So-ni (Taxi Driver 3), and Noh Jae-won (Made in Korea).
