Park Bo-young digs for Gold Land with Kim Sung-chul

Lining up our characters at the start line on Disney+’s Gold Land, the relentless race to claim the shiny prize has Park Bo-young (Our Unwritten Seoul) and Kim Sung-chul (Boyfriend on Demand) leading the ensemble cast in the thriller’s newest video teaser, poster, and stills.
Something nefarious is afoot, you see, and involves a considerable stack of gold bars worth 150 billion(!) won, smuggled and concealed within an ornate coffin. Kim Hui-joo (Park Bo-young) first learns of it through her shady boyfriend Lee Hyun-wook (Shark – The Storm), who asks Hui-joo to allow the coffin to pass through when she’s working as security check personnel. But in one moment of temptation, our heroine decides to slip away with the loot that technically has no owner.
Hui-joo then enters a risky partnership with gangster henchman Woo-ki (Kim Sung-chul), who she knows from childhood and offers Hui-joo his help. But will he remain a friend or turn foe when mob boss casino director Lee Kwang-soo (The Manipulated) threatens Woo-ki, demanding to know what happened and wanting to steal back the gold.
The web of greed and corruption extends as well to police detective Kim Hee-won (Han River Police). And though Moon Jung-hee (The Practical Guide to Love), at least, seems to be looking out for Hui-joo, the situation sadly doesn’t look like it will bode too well.
Helmed by PD Kim Sung-hoon (A History of Losers, Chief Detective 1958) with Hwang Jo-yoon (Rich Man) writing, Disney+’s Gold Land is slated to premiere next week on April 29.
