    “Don’t ever do this.”

    Koreaboo

    Just now

A Korean star has expressed the pain he has endured for three years while having his tattoos removed.

On the 4th, short track national team athlete-turned-broadcaster Kwak Yoon Gy posted on his social media, “When I was young, I thought tattoos were cool, but now I’ve been removing them for three years,” along with a video showing the tattoo removal process. He added, “Tattoos are quick to get, but removing them takes much longer.”

He explained why he chose to remove his tattoos, saying, “Even with numbing cream, it really hurts, and it feels like my skin is burning,” and “Because I get hot easily, wearing long sleeves all the time was uncomfortable.” He also added, “Natural skin is the coolest.”

Kwak Yoon Gy confessed that “you can even smell the burnt scent from the tip of the nose.”

A former short track national team athlete, Kwak Yoon Gy represented Korea at the 23rd Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018 and won gold in the men’s 5000m relay and bronze in the men’s 1000m at the 2022 ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships.

He is currently active, showcasing his witty wit through his personal YouTube channel and broadcasting appearances.
