- ENA is lining up an enemies-to-lovers tale in Enchanted Romance (previously Disenchanted Romance), headlined by a prickly, pre-menopausal (the male version) news anchor Jung Kyung-ho (Oh My Ghost Clients) and my-way-or-the-highway reporter Jeon Yeo-bin (Ms. Incognito). With Choi Dae-hoon (The WONDERfools) and Kang Mal-geum (We Are All Trying Here) also positioned for their own loveline (yay!), the rom-com will be premiering in 2027 with PD Lee Chang-min (Cashero) and writer Lee Re leading the team. - Preparations have begun on KBS for the next, next weekender Home From School (roughly translated) slated to broadcast next year and is reported to have Lee Jung-eun (Heavenly Ever After) reviewing an offer for a leading role. And presumably, she’s up to play our story’s central Mom, who decides to start a new life chapter by going back to college. If Lee accepts, this will be her second time working with writer Yang Hee-seung (A Hundred Memories, Crash Course in Romance) after Once Again. [Newsen, Yonhap News]
Lee Jung-eun, Oh Jung-se
- Oh Jung-se (Fifties Professionals) is a man who apparently knows no rest as he’s already said to be reviewing another project, potentially starring in Sunning Baseball Team (roughly translated). Expected to release on TVING sometime in 2027, the sports drama has PD Min Jin-ki (Salon de Holmes) attached to direct and collaborating once again with writer Yoon Ki-young after New Recruit 3 as well as the upcoming Season 4. - Im Ji-yeon (My Royal Nemesis) is reportedly in talks for two doppelganger roles in a new series called Alike (transliterated title) that’s in the works, which will be darkening the classic prince and pauper setup with a bolder taste of revenge. Production is currently at the casting stage, with PD Noh Young-sub (Money Flower) directing and scripts by Kim In-young (Three Bold Siblings, Black Knight). [Ilgan Sports]
- In the meantime, Netflix continues promos for the crime-action and comedy Teach You a Lesson, showcasing Kim Mu-yeol (Queen Woo), Lee Sung-min (Sacred Jewel), Jin Ki-joo (Undercover High School), and Pyo Ji-hoon (Good Partner) in the latest character stills. Coming to our screens on June 5 next month, the webtoon-adaptation is penned by (Heavenly Ever After, Daily Dose of Sunshine) with PD Hong Jong-chan (Mr. Plankton, Juvenile Justice) at the helm.
