A hilarious fan encounter involving IVE‘s Yujin is going viral after a netizen shared what may be one of the most awkward celebrity meetings ever.
According to the viral post, the fan’s friend happened to run into Yujin around lunchtime while smoking on the street. Excited by the unexpected encounter, the fan reportedly wanted to properly greet the idol. However, the moment they realized who was standing in front of them, their brain apparently stopped functioning. Instead of saying hello, asking for a photo, or even introducing themselves, the fan allegedly ended up silently offering Yujin a cigarette.
The original post read:
“My friend found out I ran into a celebrity today and asked if it was a day to run into stars. They ran into An Yujin while smoking on the street at noon. They wanted to greet her properly, but their brain completely froze, and instead of saying anything, they offered her a cigarette. An Yujin frantically waved her hands and smiled as she left.”
While the fan may not have gotten the perfect celebrity interaction they imagined, many can agree that accidentally offering IVE’s Yujin a cigarette instead of a greeting might be even more memorable.
