Actor Kim Soo Hyun‘s damages lawsuit stemming from the massive scandal related to the late Kim Sae Ron has resumed.

On June 10, the Suwon District Court held the third hearing in a lawsuit filed by health supplement company FromBIO against Kim Soo Hyun and his agency, Gold Medalist. FromBIO is seeking ₩3.90 billion KRW (about $2.55 million USD) in damages.
Kim Soo Hyun held a press conference during which he denied all accusations.
The lawsuit stems from allegations that Kim Soo Hyun dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron while she was a minor. FromBIO previously claimed the controversy damaged the brand’s image and filed a lawsuit seeking compensation. Kim Soo Hyun and Gold Medalist have consistently denied the allegations.

The court stated that it needed further clarification regarding what specific actions allegedly violated Kim Soo Hyun’s contractual obligation to maintain his public image and dignity.
Judges instructed FromBIO to organize its claims and supporting evidence into a detailed chart and explain why each allegation should be considered a violation. After reviewing the submitted materials, the court plans to narrow down the disputed issues before receiving additional responses from Kim Soo Hyun’s side.
