2025 SBS Drama Awards

Raising a toast to another great year, SBS’s 2025 Drama Awards took place at year-end on December 31, ringing in the new year with Shin Dong-yup, Chae Won-bin, and Heo Nam-joon as the ceremony hosts.
As is the SBS way, there was a sizeable pile of shiny trophies to award to all their stars with a plethora of categories to get through and the night’s biggest winner was Lee Je-hoon. Incidentally, this is Lee’s second time winning a daesang from SBS. And it’s for the same series (though a different season), having won the grand prize previously in 2023 for Taxi Driver 2.
The festivities also included a lovely tribute to the late Lee Soon-jae, commemorating the beloved actor posthumously with a Lifetime Achievement Award – his second from SBS. His first was received back in 2000 when he was 65 and it’s amazing to look back on how he continued his illustrious career for more than 20 years thereafter.
