TXT and MBC’s variety show Parenting Diary is facing intense backlash after its latest episode sparked controversy.

The show, which has aired 8 episodes so far, follows the five TXT members as they care for baby Choi Yoojun while continuing their busy schedules.
The concept initially gained attention for its “idol childcare” format, but recent episodes have shifted the conversation in a very different direction.

In episode 8, the members are shown preparing to bathe the baby. While bathing scenes are a normal part of childcare, many netizens raised concerns about how the moment was filmed, pointing out that the baby is shown unclothed with private areas covered only through editing stickers for broadcast.
One clip showing Yoojun visibly distressed and sobbing loudly while being held by Beomgyu, who could not calm the baby down, went viral in particular. During the scene, the cameras even zoom in on the baby’s bum.
As of now, neither HYBE nor MBC has addressed the backlash. With five more episodes scheduled to air, it remains unclear whether any changes will be made going forward.
