Idol-Turned-Plastic Surgery Clinic Worker Responds To Fans’ Pleas For A Comeback

A former K-Pop idol, now a consultation manager at a plastic surgery clinic, expressed her desire to live her second life faithfully without any lingering attachment or regret about being an idol.

Recently, former PRISTIN member Jung Eunwoo gave an interview to OSEN at the plastic surgery clinic where she works in Gangnam, Seoul.

When addressing some fans’ reactions expressing regret about her leaving the entertainment industry, she said, “If given the chance, I might try challenging it again, but I think I have limits when it comes to being a singer. Still, since I gave it my all back then, I want to give my best in my second career and life as well.”

She firmly stated, “I’ve never once thought about going back into the entertainment industry and doing something. After spending quite some time working as an ordinary office worker, I’ve never considered what I’d do if I returned.”

She added, “I think fans will understand. Now that I’m 29, it feels a bit late to be an idol. But since many fans feel disappointed, I’m trying to keep in touch regularly through Instagram or short-form videos.”

Regarding whether she has any regrets or lingering feelings about her past, she said, “If I had regrets, I would have appeared on audition programs or pursued acting, even as an influencer. But I’m very satisfied with the experience I had and feel I did my best, so I have no regrets.”

Although she has left the entertainment world, Jung Eunwoo plans to communicate with the public via social medja as a consultation manager and promotional model for the plastic surgery clinic. She said, “I want to frequently connect by posting reels and showing a lot of the work I do.”

When asked if she plans to resume her YouTube activities, which stopped last year, she replied, “I do have plans. Since my job is quite demanding, if I have time, I want to focus on short-form videos sharing stories from my past. For longer-form content, I want to have some fun telling stories about my experiences. I think I’ll have to do it alone rather than with guests. I don’t have any concrete plans yet; it’s just something I’m thinking about.”

On starting fresh as a consultation manager, she shared her future goal: “I don’t set specific goals; I just want to do my best at what I’m doing. I try to live each day wholeheartedly without regrets. Even if I were to die tomorrow, I want to live doing my best so I won’t regret it. I believe that if I focus on the present, good days will come.”

To her fans who support her, Jung Eunwoo said, “Although my days as an idol are over, I hope you’ll cheer for my life as a consultation manager as well. Since I’m living a working person’s life, I want to cheer on all office workers, and it would be nice to run into you at the clinic. We’re all the same, just regular people working our jobs, so I hope you also check out my latest updates on Instagram and reels.”

Many idols and ordinary people, like Jung Eunwoo, may be struggling with new challenges and their future. When asked what she would say to them, she encouraged, “I hope you live without regrets. If you want to do something, do it until you’re tired of it. I believe you shouldn’t have regrets. And just because you change jobs doesn’t mean your life is over. In fact, trying something new might suit you better, and you could succeed because of it. I hope people keep an open mind and think a lot about their options.”
